Claims Operations Assistant I
The candidate back up to in-house administrator working with in-house attorneys and outside counsel in legal billing system. Assist with clearing errors due to issues between legal billing system and our claim system to allow automated payments to be processed. Prepare, and diary for follow up for the Litigation Hold process. Adding and training new employees on the legal billing system. Entry of claim recoveries. Administrative support for the system including adding new firms and password resets. Reconciliation and correction of claim entries. Back up on adjuster licensing across the Claim organization.

Qualification and Experience

A High school degree or equivalent required. Some college or Paralegal preferred. Understanding of basic claim functions is required. Ability to build effective working relationships with associates and branch management is needed. Must have some knowledge of IRS reporting systems. Should have effective communication skills both oral and written with good interpersonal skills. Must have proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. Must have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Should have ability to foresee and identify potential problems. Respond in a timely manner to those potential problems identified by others. Must have some knowledge of medical terminology and CPT, ICD-9 and HCPC coding. Some knowledge of standard medical billing forms is required.
