Paralegal Responsibilities: Maintain an orderly work flow in area of responsibility. Set priorities to accomplish the attorneys work. Keep records for client billing by recording time daily. Litigation support activities including, but not limited to, database management and electronic filing. Summarize materials by preparing deposition outlines, highlighting issues and compiling all relevant information. Facilitate comprehensive information flow by drafting documents including correspondence, legal memoranda and pleadings. Establish clear case organization by administering and maintaining case materials . Perform special tasks as needed which may include learning new functions on the computer or specific applications such as litigation management software, databases.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Medical Education and/or experience a plus. Familiar with Excel, Word and Outlook. Ability to learn to digest and understand Medical Records. Familiar with all Court rules and procedures. Willing to work in a fast-paced environment. Analytical/detail oriented. Proven work ethic, dependable and reliable. Bachelorâ€™s degree and paralegal certificate preferred. Good verbal and written communication English language skills. Ability to work overtime if required (regular work hours 35 per week). Ability to multi-task. Takes direction well, understands his/her role within the group.
