Senior Counsel - Contracts Responsibilities: Structure, draft and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contacts, including supply agreements, international distribution agreements, license agreements, service agreements, marketing agreements, spokesperson agreements and non-disclosure agreements. Provide counseling and advice relating to commercial matters, including anti-trust, trade regulation, financial services, warranty, contract matters and pre-litigation disputes. Serve as liaison between your assigned business units and other Law Department professionals and areas, including litigation, marketing, intellectual property, regulatory and compliance and store operations. Prepare and present training to business unit personnel. Support reviews and analyses of contracting performance within the organization and assist in the development of best practices and procedure.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: A seasoned professional with around 5+ years’ experience. Comfortable with contracts, commercial law and negotiating to get the deal done. Great at writing, and able to make complex legal things easy to understand. Adaptable, and eager to learn and do new things. The kind of person who loves to look for ways to do things differently and better – you think up new ideas and run with them. A team player, willing to pitch in wherever you’re needed. Client-focused – you automatically want to understand your client’s needs and work with them to achieve their goals. Experience in a large law firm, Fortune 500 Company, or a combination of both. International Experience.
