Senior Associate General Counsel
Responsibilities: Assist national regulatory affairs and market conduct examination teams with regulatory responses. Counsel on exams and audit responses. Counsel on corrective action plans. Manage and provide legal support on reports to regulators related to mental health parity and other regulatory issues. Counsel on mental health parity-related inquiries and assist with parity-related analysis. Support key areas for regulatory advocacy. Collaborate with colleagues across the legal and compliance departments. Help foster key regulatory relationships.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Juris Doctorate degree. Should have 7+ years of legal experience. 3+ years of relevant legal experience in commercial healthcare insurance. Preferred Qualifications: Background in litigation or audit support. Experience with regulatory agencies. Experience with mental health parity program compliance. Proven success in collaborating across a matrixed business and legal environment. Demonstrated understanding of business problems related to assigned legal projects and ability to evaluate and determine the appropriate legal course of action to meet business unit needs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Advanced negotiation skills. Ability to work effectively in an ambiguous environment.
