Associate General Counsel
The candidate will be responsible for reviewing, drafting and negotiating various types of agreements for complex transactions including sales and retail services, marketing services, office leases and vendor agreements. Provide legal advice and counsel with respect to the law and regulatory requirements. Respond to high-priority matters with a sense of urgency, prioritize and handle a high volume of multiple projects efficiently, and work with senior management in analyzing and assessing risk and in making recommendations. Responsible for overseeing a team of contract negotiators and the contracts process.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and admission to a state Bar. Should have 10 - 15 years of legal experience; 8 + years transactional experience (specifically, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal and business issues in commercial contracts; transactional experience in technology agreements is a plus. Should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Should have excellent analytical and organizational skills. Use of independent judgment and creativity applied to resolution of contract issues. Ability to build and maintain good relationships both internally and externally at all levels. Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitive business information. Ability to exercise independent, sound judgment. Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and appreciation for data integrity. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Self-starter, ability to identify necessary tasks, plan projects and bring to completion. Experience working with federal and state regulations is a plus. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft products, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
