Senior Counsel, Consumables SBU RESPONSIBILITIES: Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and maintaining a variety of complex, international commercial agreements, including procurement, supply chain, distribution, consulting, services, sales, real estate, marketing, technology, and licensing, and other operational and commercial agreements. Contributing to the Consumables segment as a key strategic partner, advisor, solution provider, and creative thinker. Responding to a variety of legal requests from the Consumables segmentâ€™s procurement, operations, supply chain, sales, business development, marketing, and research and development teams, and advising on legal risks identified in relation to such requests and proposing solutions to mitigate such risks. Providing advice and counsel to international and domestic business team leaders on legal matters, in consultation with senior department attorneys, as necessary. Providing legal support in context of M&A, divestitures, and other matters with company-wide impact Building close cross-functional relationships and maintaining a strong knowledge of the products, services and objectives of Dentsply Sironaâ€™s sales, marketing, and operations teams. Managing all aspects of relationships with external counsel and other professionals representing Dentsply Sirona for projects. Managing various pre-litigation, litigation and alternative dispute resolution matters. Supervising departmental personnel, as needed. Managing special project teams, as requested.
Qualification and Experience
REQUIREMENTS: JD Degree/Master in Law/LL.M. from an accredited law school. 5+ years of relevant transactional and commercial experience, including a strong background in competition law, international trade, and export control, with a preference for experience in the healthcare or medical device industries. Experience with supporting regional sales initiatives and marketing and advertising campaigns. Basic knowledge of international laws, regulations and policies, including specific regulatory requirements and local fraud and abuse laws, in particular the U.S. Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute; ability to interpret and apply such laws, regulations, and policies to inform business activities. Outstanding written, oral and interpersonal skills and the ability to identify and prioritize issues and provide solutions to key stakeholders. Essential competencies including the ability to work independently with good business and common sense, excellent written and spoken English (both written and spoken fluency); well-organized and efficient; and an excellent attitude to learn. German and other European language skills would be helpful.
