Legal Administrative Assistant Duties: Performs a wide variety of administrative tasks including coordinating the billing process. Maintains calendars and schedules meetings in Outlook. Coordinates the process of opening new matters. Enters attorneys’ time into the timekeeping system, proofs and releases as directed by the attorney. Composes routine correspondence. Prepares check requests. Creates binders and maintains filing system. Responds to phone calls and emails in a professional manner. Develops and maintains smooth working relationships with staff, attorneys and clients. Ensures that all documents have been proofread, edited and revised as necessary.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: 5 years of legal administrative experience, specifically in the areas of real estate and commercial finance. Candidates must be able to function in a fast-paced environment. Proven advanced knowledge of Windows and Office 2010 to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Able to handle day-to-day work challenges and adjust to multiple demands, priorities and rapid change. Requires the ability to edit documents in a timely manner with extremely close attention to detail. Also required are advanced skills in scheming, styles, and redlining. Excellent proofreading and editing skills as well as the ability to function independently.
