Contracts Administration Manager Demonstrates and promotes the company vision. Regular attendance and punctuality. Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility. Coordinate, develop, implement and continually improve the contract management system. Manage and coordinate activities of the contract administration department. Provide leadership and advice in the area of contracts administration. Draft, edit and negotiate various contracts including NDAs, master service agreements, supply contracts, licenses, permits etc. Answer customer questions regarding contractual terms and agreements. Negotiate on behalf of the company to minimize the company’s risk while still allowing the sale to progress. Analyze contract requirements, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, suggest edits to bring drafts in line with group and business unit policies. Coordinate executive review, negotiation, and execution of contracts. Act as the principal liaison between the business and internal and external counsel. Train sales and internal teams on contract process, negotiation and best practices. Maintain and update departmental business forms. Generate and deliver various reports for internal, external and executive reporting. Works with internal and external client facing groups to facilitate the contracting. Implement corporate documentation management policies. Draft, negotiate, review, corporate agreements, documents, and policies. Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have: Bachelor’s Degree. Certificate or Baccalaureate Degree from an approved Paralegal program. 7+ years’ paralegal experience, including contract review and negotiation, preferably in a corporate setting. Understanding and experience in patents and licensing laws and requirements. Experience working with attorneys and law firms. Ability to evaluate and communicate risk and propose optimal execution strategies. Experience with contract management systems. Exceptional organizational and administrative skills. Understanding of contract life cycle and common contracting issues. Outstanding communication skills with non-legal staff, including internal and sales, client management, and site management teams as well as with clients. Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills. Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude. Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
