Corporate Paralegal / Administrative Assistant The candidate will provide paralegal and administrative assistance to in-house attorneys. Will review basic legal agreements at the direction of in-house attorneys. Assist with contract execution and document compliance with company policies. Prepare reports, memos, letters, and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software. Prepare board and shareholder minutes and resolutions, prepare powers of attorney, and maintain corporate minute books for multiple legal entities. Conduct research, compile data, and prepare papers for consideration and presentation by supervising attorney. Read and analyze incoming memos, submissions, and reports to determine their significance and plan their distribution. Perform general office duties, such as managing executive calendars, maintaining records management database systems, etc. Make travel arrangements for in-house attorneys. Help prepare legal documents. Conduct research on projects as directed by in-house attorneys. Write reports and business correspondence. Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have HS Diploma/GED, or AA/AS, or BA/BS. Should preferably have a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; OR 1-2 years of related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Should preferably also have 3-5 years of paralegal experience. Ability to understand and communicate basic legal concepts is required. Should be proficient in the use of office automation equipment/software related to activities.
