Job Overview:
A law firm located in Tucson, AZ, seeks an experienced Lead Trial Attorney to manage personal injury cases through to verdict. This is a hybrid role that offers flexibility, combining in-office and remote work, and providing an opportunity to be part of a dynamic legal team. The role demands a driven professional with substantial litigation experience and a passion for client advocacy, specifically in personal injury law.

Duties:

  • Manage personal injury cases from intake to final verdict, ensuring timely and effective handling of all aspects of the legal process
  • Draft and respond to motions, utilizing a strong understanding of legal principles and procedural rules
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and communication throughout the case
  • Leverage knowledge of legal rules and procedures to craft effective and persuasive legal strategies
  • Collaborate with the legal team, support staff, and other professionals to ensure case success
  • Engage in jury trials, with the ability to handle all related courtroom duties
  • Take and defend depositions, preparing clients and witnesses as necessary

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • A minimum of 5 years of litigation experience
  • At least 1 year of personal injury litigation experience, either plaintiff or defense side, is preferred
  • Experience in jury trials, including presenting cases and managing court proceedings
  • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona, Texas, Colorado, or New Mexico
  • Strong ability to draft and respond to motions effectively
  • Proven experience in managing client relationships and providing exceptional client service
  • Extensive knowledge of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure (TRCP) and the Rules of Evidence
  • Ability to handle constructive feedback and improve performance
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a collaborative environment
  • Experience in taking and defending depositions is highly valued
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus

Education:

  • JD from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Arizona, Texas, Colorado, or New Mexico
