Corporate Paralegal

Position Summary:

Are you looking for a place that believes in teamwork and success?  If so, we have a position you may find a great fit for your career.  We are looking to add this new Paralegal role in our Corporate Miami, FL office. This position is responsible for providing and coordinating various contract and compliance services and activities including, but not limited to drafting/reviewing of customer contracts, product liability claims, and insurance claims.  Assist with compliance work for policies, contracts, leases, purchase orders, service agreements, merchandising agreements, cease and desist letters and other business-related matters. You will work directly with the Chief Financial Officer and Legal Counsel and will have interactions with the C-Suite leadership as well as the Board of Directors.

We are looking for someone with:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Paralegal certification
• 5-7 years corporate paralegal experience
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written as this role with work closely with internal team members as well as external clients
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
• Ability to manage flexible deadlines
• Diplomatic and collaborative
• Unparalleled sense of urgency: proactive versus reactive

High-level tasks & expectations of the role:

• Review and provide corporate guidance on any contractual matters or other projects.
• Manage the Company intellectual property matters including Copyrights, Trademarks and maintain the Company’s office Board meeting minutes, annual reports, and Company licensing.
• Maintain the Company legal files for contracts and other legal matters.
• Responsible for reviewing, tracking, and monitoring legislation that impacts the company’s products and/or processes.
• Assist in implementing changes to contracts or other requirements to comply with legislation/regulations.
• Update leadership with timely analysis and summaries of new legislation/regulations affecting the business.
• Responsible for supporting matters related to litigation, mediation, arbitration, and complaints.
• Draft and edit contracts, correspondence, and other documents.
• Assist with ethics and compliance programs.
• Perform legal research.
