Workers Compensation Paralegal The candidate manages a specialized caseload focused on trial cases with the Office of Administrative Law Judges. Maintains frequent contact with clients, as well as with the Court, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses. Works very closely with the case/trial attorney to assist in moving our cases forward to conclusion. Prepares, reviews and serves various pleadings and draft correspondence daily. Responsible for tracking and meeting all deadlines, both in house and as ordered by the Court. Required to attend local trials with the attorney to provide any needed assistance in the courtroom. Responsible for ensuring case information in data is current and correct. Will also aid in appellate work with the possibility of working on cases that go to the 9th circuit Court of Appeals. Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certificate required. Should have 1+ year of experience in a similar office environment required, Law Firm preferred.
