A law firm seeks an experienced Commercial Litigation Associate to join its Santa Monica, CA office. This role is ideal for candidates with 4-6 years of experience in litigation, including a proven track record in executing legal strategies and advocating for clients. The firm is looking for individuals with experience in real estate or commercial construction litigation (excluding defects).

Duties:

• Execute comprehensive legal strategies throughout the litigation process.
• Conduct depositions, manage motion practice, and participate in trials, arbitrations, and hearings.
• Prepare and produce witnesses for depositions and other key litigation events.
• Collaborate directly with attorneys and clients to ensure effective communication and case management.
• Develop and implement legal strategies tailored to client needs.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school, with a strong academic record.
• Admission to the California Bar.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently manage a diverse caseload.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent judgment with the capacity to handle multiple projects effectively.

Education:

• JD from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in California.

Skills:

• Experience in commercial litigation, particularly in real estate or commercial construction (non-defect) matters.
• Ability to interface directly with clients and attorneys, fostering positive relationships.
• Proficient in developing and implementing legal strategies to achieve client goals.
