Case Assistant – Government Matters/Healthcare Practice Group
Duties: Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs a variety of duties to assist paralegals and attorneys to whom assigned in the Healthcare litigation practice. Review and organize medical records, medical billing records, explanations of benefits, communications with health plans. Organize and file case documents in document management systems. Keep accurate time records.

Qualification and Experience

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required. Extensive knowledge of health care billing issues required. Must be proficient in HIPAA compliance and electronic medical records systems General knowledge of Microsoft office with strong skills in Word and Excel. Expert knowledge of Adobe. General knowledge of databases. Experience with Access is a plus. Positive attitude and strong, concise communication and writing skills. Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete tasks under strict time constraints. Strong attention to detail. Committed team player as well as a motivated self-starter. Able to work overtime as needed (including weekends and holidays), often without notice. Must be able to work independently and efficiently in an environment that is heavily computer based, perform under strict time constraints, follow established client and team guidelines for case and matter management, maintain positive contact with clients and observe confidentiality of client matters.
