Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and counsel on intellectual property and technology-related transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including licensing agreements, technology transfer agreements, and service contracts.
  • Handle complex commercial transactions involving both early-stage and established technology companies.
  • Advise clients on intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
  • Support M&A transactions by advising on deals' intellectual property and technology aspects.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and provide strategic legal advice.
  • Manage multiple projects and transactions simultaneously while maintaining high standards of work.
  • Stay current with developments in intellectual property law and technology trends.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a law firm setting focusing on intellectual property and technology transactions.
  • Extensive experience in handling complex commercial transactions for technology companies.
  • Proven ability to advise on M&A and other corporate transactions from an intellectual/commercial perspective.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Superior academic credentials.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar or willingness to obtain.

Certifications:

  • None required; relevant certifications in intellectual property law are a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of intellectual property and contract law.
  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating various types of commercial agreements.
