Job Overview: A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney for their Technology Transactions Group. The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years of substantial law firm experience with a deep understanding of intellectual property and contract law. This role involves handling complex commercial transactions for technology companies at various stages and advising on the philosophical and commercial aspects of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and other corporate transactions.

Duties:

• Provide legal advice and counsel on intellectual property and technology-related transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including licensing agreements, technology transfer agreements, and service contracts.
• Handle complex commercial transactions involving both early-stage and established technology companies.
• Advise clients on intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
• Support M&A transactions by advising on deals' intellectual property and technology aspects.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and provide strategic legal advice.
• Manage multiple projects and transactions simultaneously while maintaining high standards of work.
• Stay current with developments in intellectual property law and technology trends.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in a law firm setting focusing on intellectual property and technology transactions.
• Extensive experience in handling complex commercial transactions for technology companies.
• Proven ability to advise on M&A and other corporate transactions from an intellectual/commercial perspective.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Superior academic credentials.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar or willingness to obtain.

Certifications:

• None required; relevant certifications in intellectual property law are a plus.

Skills:
