Paralegal Manager, Legal Operations
Qualifications: Management and administration of Litigation and Investigations Paralegal team, with an eye toward optimum utilization of resources. This includes personnel administration, policy and procedures, technology and financial management. Communicates with internal and external customers and vendors concerning ongoing operations, programs or processes. Partners with Paralegal Team Leads to assign projects, organize and prioritize tasks, caseload, and workflow, and advise on conflict resolution, as needed. Manages performance, develops talent, drives engagement and inclusion. Plans, prioritizes and directs responsibilities of direct reports. Establish operational goals, objectives, and plans for team with forward looking impacts. Accountable for mentoring, developing and coaching staff of meeting/exceeding performance expectations and defined objectives. Provides leadership to staff to ensure prioritization of strategic and department level initiatives to include defining performance goals and targets, conducting performance reviews, and staff 1:1s to guide performance management and employee development efforts and manage toward departmental goals. In addition to overall management of services provided by the Litigation and Investigations paralegal team, may be responsible for own complex caseload and acts as liaison between company attorneys, outside counsel, organizations and in-house employees. Gives work direction to outside counsel. Support other Legal Operations initiatives including project management mentoring and training, and process analysis.

Qualification and Experience

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of corporate legal experience; or an advanced degree and 3+ years of experience is required. Litigation paralegal experience. Experience accomplishing goals through others and providing work direction, coaching and/or guidance to project teams. Proficiency in and experience with Process Mapping, Project Management, and Lean or Six Sigma principles, concepts, practices and standards. Excellent strategic planning skills. Exceptional presentation, oral and written communication skills. Clear thinking, superior communication skills, including executive-level updates. Demonstrated success in driving engagement within a matrixed environment. The ability to work with complex and sensitive information. The ability to work with and influence all levels of management and employees. The ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment
