Job Overview:
A well-established law firm located in Cheshire, CT, is currently seeking a skilled General Liability Associate Attorney. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic legal team focused on handling a variety of litigation defense cases, including motor vehicle torts, general liability, premises liability, and construction litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, a passion for legal defense, and the ability to manage cases from initiation to resolution.

Duties:

• Manage cases from start to finish, ensuring proper legal strategy and client communication
• Draft case strategies, motions, and briefs while analyzing evidence
• Collaborate effectively with clients, witnesses, and expert witnesses
• Oversee discovery, depositions, and case preparation for trial
• Conduct legal research and provide legal advice to clients
• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings

Requirements:

• . from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Connecticut Bar in good standing
• 0-10 years of experience.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently

Education:

• Juris Doctor (Doctoral degree) required

Certifications:

• Admission to the Connecticut Bar

Skills:

• Litigation defense experience preferred
• Expertise in motor vehicle tort, premises liability, general liability, and construction litigation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and present solutions clearly
• High level of professionalism and client service
