Underwriter - Professional Lines - Oak Brook:

- Responsible for evaluating and underwriting submissions with precision and adhering to guidelines and delegated authority.
- Engages with customers to address quotes, re-quotes, and endorsements with a customer-first mindset.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with customers to drive business growth.
- Collaborates with various teams across Underwriting, Business Development, Claims, IT, and more to contribute to a unified and effective operation.
- Stays ahead of market trends, analyzes competitive information, and supports product development.
- Guides and supports new underwriters, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Engages in ongoing professional development, including completion of required underwriting classes, exams, designations, and training.
- Positive and growth-focused mindset with a dedication to placing customers at the center of everything.
- Strong decision-making abilities with a blend of data analysis and critical thinking.
- Proactive and team-oriented approach with excellent relationship-building skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving business landscape.
- 3+ years of underwriting experience in Commercial Property & Casualty, Personal, or Management & Professional Liability lines.
- Insurance-related course work (CPCU, RPLU, etc.) is a plus.
- 5+ years in other insurance roles, financial services, or legal services.
- Willingness to travel as needed for customer interactions.
