Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's degree in Paralegal studies or a Paralegal certificate and 3+ years of working experience as a Paralegal. Must have basic familiarity with civil litigation procedures, forms and pleadings. Knowledge of legal works, periodicals, reporting services and related publications is required. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with the personnel, functions, and operations of the various departments, boards and agencies of the Government of the Virgin Islands is required. Knowledge of the operations, the personnel and procedures of the Courts of the Virgin Islands and of the Electronic Document Management and Filing System is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, legal software applications and other common office machines is required.
