Intellectual Property Licensing Specialist Responsibilities: a) Manages licensing practices and processes for technology transfer, applying company policies and procedures to resolve issues associated with licensing INL’s intellectual property, b) Advised on agreement processes, c) Ensured agreements are professional, meet quality standards, and comply with requirements as set by the Director of Technology Deployment; d) Manages the licensing of assigned routine non-negotiable agreements, such as non-exclusive nuclear software agreements; e) Manages practices for income sharing agreements, copyright and software licenses (including open source software licenses) and securing rights to software through assertions, f) Manages acceptance of INL invention disclosures (management of the Intellectual Property Disclosure System (IPDS), responding to DOE and INL information requests related to licensing and ensuring "IP Manager" database is updated and accurate with the assistance of administrative staff when available. Use and application of licensing standards and principles, and techniques to resolve issues associated with intellectual property and processing licenses. Resolve issues as they arise surrounding a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity when dealing with routine licensing.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or relevant job experience as a paralegal working with agreements, legal contract experiences, equivalent education and/or experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree, such as 8 years’ experience as a paralegal and/or demonstrated success in working in a related function.
