Principal Associate, Contract Manager Duties: Helping develop, draft, negotiate, and execute third-party contracts in support of the business intent owner and in accordance with internal guidelines. Coordinating with associates are responsible for supplier management and with various internal business stakeholders. Manage various internal stakeholders to meet and exceed business customer timelines and requirements, while also coordinating and collaborating with suppliers during contract negotiations. Efficiently draft and negotiate great contracts. Review, draft and negotiate Master Services Agreements, License Agreements, Statements of Work, Non-Disclosure Agreements and other documents in support of business needs; Support contracting lifecycle strategy from contract development through contract closure; Ensure contractual/legal compliance with regulatory requirements; Participate in contract negotiations with suppliers Consistently understand, interpret and apply internal legal standards and guidelines in contracts, including complex services terms and conditions. Contribute to the success of the contracting function Provide contract and negotiation support necessary to drive productive engagement with Capital One’s supplier network; Track and monitor contract pipeline to manage workload against demand; Support RFP engagements, including providing standard contract terms and conditions and participating in evaluations to offer opinions on potential contract successes or opportunities; Proactively identify and recommend solutions for improving the contract process; Attend daily/weekly team meetings and meetings with internal business teams. Provide great customer service on every deal; Proactively meet with business intent owners to strategize and draft contracts in a way that positions well and meets business needs; Identify and resolve contract issues in a manner that meets internal needs, negotiate change orders and ensure contractual compliance with government regulations and policies.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: JD Degree. 2+ years’ experience in legal research and writing. Preferred: Litigation or professional legal research and writing experience is preferred. Experience in contract management and contract negotiations is preferred.
