Environmental Regulatory Associate – Products-Focused Practice
Candidate will focus on environmental regulatory and compliance matters, with a focus on the United States, and with a primary focus on the firm’s product regulatory practice. Work in products regulatory practice is global in its scope, and involves multidisciplinary work on products of all types, including electronics, batteries, chemicals, pesticides, plastics, and biotechnology. Work involves support for our clients in topics like: market access; product development and premarket approval; responsible sourcing, supply chain, and transactional support; other ESG advice; chemical and materials restrictions; labeling, marketing and advertising; product safety; hazmat transport; reverse distribution and waste; and product stewardship and recycling.

Qualification and Experience

Candidate must have: JD Degree from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials; Status as an active member in good standing of the bar in at least one state jurisdiction (admission to practice in California is a plus); Experience in any of these California or federal product regulatory areas is strongly preferred, but candidates with familiarity with state and federal environmental regulatory programs or environmental litigation experience will also be considered; Strong analytical, research, writing and oral communication skills; Attention to detail, strong organization skills, ability to work well under deadlines, and ability to assume significant client responsibilities; Creative thinking and problem solving skills.
