Business Development and Marketing Specialist
The candidate will prepare business development materials, including pitches and proposals, and responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs), brochures, flyers, infographics, new marketing copy for multi-channel use, and advertisements. Will implement key areas of the firm’s social media plan. Assist in the development, execution and administration of marketing/business development programs and projects. Update and maintain department databases and client/ contact data in the context of marketing and business development efforts (Reporting/Tracking ROI); and prepare legal media submissions: responses to surveys and questionnaires. Should have B.A./B.S. in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or related field as determined by management. Must preferably have 5+ years of experience working in a marketing department or agency setting; professional services marketing experience.

add a way to anonymously submit concerns. Focus less on shareholders and more on cultivating younger talent, and instilling loyalty in attorneys and staff who get things done. Be flexible and recognize effort to retain talent.

Pros : The benefits are great, people are (mostly) nice, and the attorneys are very good at what they do. Pay is a little lower than industry average for associates and staff, but annual bonuses help compensate for it. Flexibility to work from multiple office branches, and it’s possible to become a shareholder before 45.
Cons : Management has gone through some big changes since fall 2019, and new practices make it clear they no longer value the safety or loyalty of support staff over firm profits. There is no anonymous way to file a grievance or complaint, without going through management. Some people have clearly been hired to check off c-suite diversity boxes despite growing evidence of their inability to adequately and legally perform their responsibilities.
