A growing personal injury law firm in Ohio is seeking a dedicated Litigation Attorney with a passion for client advocacy. Location
Duties
- Conduct medical case reviews and assess case merits
- Negotiate and settle cases in both pre-litigation and litigation stages
- Review policies, claims, and records to develop case strategies
- Prepare, draft, and argue legal documents such as memos, demands, and liability theories
- Communicate with insurance companies and manage client medical treatments and billing
- Provide regular case status updates to clients and ensure clear communication throughout the process
- Conduct intake meetings and handle client relations to build trust and confidence
- Attend Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs), Examinations Under Oath (EUOs), and recorded statements
- Manage a docket of cases according to firm policies and ensure adherence to deadlines
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling all cases and client interactions
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury law; medical malpractice experience is a plus
- Strong negotiation, communication, and writing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases effectively
- Proficient with computer and general office skills, with attention to detail
Education
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
Certifications
- Active license to practice law in Ohio, in good standing
