Duties:

• Manage and advise clients on commercial loan restructuring, collections, and bankruptcy matters.
• Handle complex bankruptcy cases, ensuring thorough understanding of commercial and consumer aspects.
• Build and nurture strong client relationships, including growing a portable book of business.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and draft high-quality legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and contracts.
• Collaborate with internal teams to manage cases and ensure timely and effective resolutions.
• Represent clients in various legal settings, including court appearances and negotiations.
• Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, case precedents, and industry trends.
• Utilize and become proficient in relevant legal software tools and systems.
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients in line with their business goals and objectives.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial loan restructuring, collections, and bankruptcy law.
• Proven track record of managing a portable book of business and growing client relationships.
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills, with an ability to produce clear, concise legal documents.
• Ability to adapt and learn new computer software and legal tools.
• Active membership in the State Bar of Michigan, with good standing.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with significant client interaction.
• High level of motivation and ability to compete effectively in a challenging legal landscape.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the State Bar of Michigan.
