Profile2018 Summer Internship The intern will gain first-hand experience in criminal defense and client representation by observing every aspect of criminal court proceedings for felony cases; participating in the trial preparation and strategy meetings with trial attorneys; participating in bond hearings, and completing general legal research projects. Intern will directly interact with attorneys, support staff, and clients. The internship program is designed to introduce promising students to the practice of criminal law and the honor of indigent defense. Interns must be entering the 2L or 3L year. Accepted interns must provide their own accommodations in or within commuting distance of Augusta. Duration : The internship will begin in late May and conclude by August.
