Health Care Attorney The candidate must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Excellent academic credentials and 7 years of transactional and regulatory healthcare experience. Should have experience working with healthcare clients and industry businesses on transactional matters including corporate formation, restructurings, mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures; development of new service offerings or partnerships; and construction of new or replacement facilities. Should also be experienced in day-to-day healthcare corporate matters, such as employment and labor; provider relations and compensation; negotiating vendor contracts, provider agreements, leases, and other contracts; billing and payment issues; corporate governance; credentialing; privacy and cybersecurity; real estate; taxation; and training. Should have regulatory compliance experience with the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, Physician Self-Referral Law (Stark Law), Medicare exclusion and Civil Monetary Penalty (CMP) actions, antitrust laws, tax exemption, HIPAA and privacy, and other regulations affecting healthcare clients. The attorney should like to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate can be located in any of our offices. Ability to learn and embrace new skills and best practices as the position evolves and Firm needs change. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team. Ability to develop relationships and foster teamwork at all levels of the Firm. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse group of internal and external clients, attorneys, and staff. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to manage confidential information and sensitive situations with tact and discretion. Ability and confidence to identify and analyze issues, make decisions, and initiate actions/solutions. Agility to respond to unexpected challenges, including proactively developing innovative solutions to complex problems while maintaining a professional demeanor. Ability to maintain composure and demonstrate good judgment. Valid authorization to work in the U.S.
