Qualification and Experience

The candidate should preferably have 5+ years of private or government practice in law; experience as a judge, magistrate, administrative law judge, or hearing officer. Should have knowledge of: Applicable statutes; Procedures and terminology applicable to the assignment; Administrative hearing procedures; Rules of evidence; Rules of legal ethics; Rules of English grammar and composition; Effective use of commonly used office equipment and software. Skills in: Communicating effectively both orally and in writing; Efficiently and effectively conducting legal research; Managing hearings involving interests of opposing parties; Controlling the hearing and making a clear record.
