Paralegal Regulatory & Compliance DUTIES: Research, analysis and communication of legal facts and concepts. Identification and communication of potential legal issues for Counsel’s guidance. Legal research of state and federal laws, regulations, and policies. Daily communication and interaction with IT, operations, and clinical management teammates relating to assigned areas. Preparation, review and revision of legal communications as directed by attorneys Assistance on special projects Other duties and responsibilities as assigned include: Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed. Know, understand, and follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures.

Qualification and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or Certificate in Paralegal Studies highly preferred. 2 years’ administrative or paralegal experience preferred. Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required. Regulatory research experience preferred. Interest in or experience with translating legal jargon into “regular” speak. Can-do attitude, and a drive to take on new responsibilities with the support of a tightknit team. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to listen attentively and communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization. Demonstrated professionalism and courtesy in responding to phone calls and emails. Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional groups. Demonstrated interpersonal, collaborative and relationship-building skills; ability to interact positively with teammates at all levels across the company. Excellent organizational, attention to detail, project management and follow-through skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and adjust priorities appropriately in an evolving work environment with shifting time frames. Self-directed; able to work independently and as a member of a team, and to foster a positive work environment. Working knowledge of fraud, waste and abuse laws (anti-kickback statute, false claims act) helpful. Working knowledge of IT system development and deployment helpful.
