Job Overview: A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its Creditors’ Rights and Collections Department in Atlanta, GA, with a remote work option. The ideal candidate will manage all stages of the legal process, from case initiation to post-judgment remedies, providing high-quality legal representation in a high-volume environment. This role is perfect for an attorney who is skilled in civil litigation, debt collection, and creditor rights and values professionalism, effective communication, and ownership in all client interactions.

Duties:

• Treat clients and customers with fairness and respect, working to create practical payment solutions tailored to individual financial situations.
• Perform thorough legal research and prepare legal documents with a high standard of quality.
• Manage a high-volume caseload, offering expert analysis and strategic advice on legal and regulatory risks.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel to resolve cases efficiently and effectively.
• Represent clients in various legal proceedings, including court hearings throughout Georgia.
• Report case activity and outcomes to the Managing Attorney to ensure alignment with client objectives.

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in Georgia (Required).
• 0-3 years of experience in civil litigation, with a preference for candidates familiar with debt collection, creditor rights, and related regulatory frameworks such as FDCPA, RESPA, and TILA.
• Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to perform effectively in court.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
• Strong work ethic, team-oriented, and committed to ethical and professional standards.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Georgia State Bar membership (Required).

• Proficiency in analyzing case law and providing strategic recommendations.
• Strong organizational abilities and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced, high-volume workload.
