Transactional Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for providing support to the legal team across a wide range of matters. Additionally, will assist with industry and market research projects. Partner with members of the legal team in order to draft, review, proofread and edit a variety of legal documents, including purchase agreements, service agreements, vendor agreements, NDAs, SOWs, etc. Proactively manage transactional and commercial deadlines for the legal team, keeping track of the legal calendar and due dates in order to ensure documents and projects are completed and addressed on-time and that internal and external regulatory deadlines are met. Manage contract life cycles, including execution, extension, renewals and terminations; maintain and update database containing all contractual agreements, ensuring all deadlines are monitored and met. Partner with the legal team and other internal stakeholders on multiple projects, ensuring all information and materials are collected in a timely manner. Identify and implement legal department tools to streamline and improve new or existing practices, including managing the rollout and training for new systems, as appropriate. Perform high quality in-depth legal, industry and market research using a variety of resources. Provide general support to legal department; assist with special projects as needed. .
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have 5 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department with strong experience in commercial contracts. Must have Bachelor’s degree with excellent academic record and certificate of completion from a paralegal training program. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; capable of responding to all requests in a timely and professional manner. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously through effective prioritization is required. Must have ability to handle highly sensitive information and maintain confidentiality at all times. Ability to complete detailed research projects; strong knowledge of research resources and electronic research databases is a plus. Must have proficient PC skills in the Microsoft product line including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
