Job Overview: A law firm in New York City seeks a Mid-Level Private Equity/Finance Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. The role involves handling complex private equity-sponsored leveraged acquisition finance transactions, collaborating with clients and colleagues, and ensuring high-quality legal services.

Duties:

  • Work on private equity-sponsored leveraged acquisition finance transactions, including credit facilities (senior secured term loans, cash flow and ABL revolving credit facilities, first/second lien, and subordinated mezzanine credit facilities).
  • Draft and review commitment letters, engagement letters, term sheets, fee letters, and collateral documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce high-quality written work and oral presentations.
  • Manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively.
  • Adhere to firm policies and practices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in private equity-sponsored leveraged acquisition finance transactions.
  • Prior experience with an AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC preferred.
  • Experience in private equity lender-side representation is advantageous.
  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
