Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an experienced Product Liability and Class Action Litigation Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience in complex litigation, mainly focusing on product liability and class action cases. Experience with defense catastrophic injury cases is highly preferred. The role involves substantial litigation responsibilities, including motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation.

Duties:

• Handle complex litigation cases focusing on product liability and class action matters.
• Perform motion practice, including drafting and arguing motions.
• Manage all aspects of discovery, including fact investigation and document review.
• Write and file legal briefs and other court documents.
• Prepare company witnesses for depositions and participate in taking and defending depositions.
• Attend court appearances and engage in trial preparation and trial activities.
• Interact with clients to provide legal counsel and updates on case progress.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of experience in complex litigation focusing on product liability and class action cases.
• Significant experience in case handling, including fact investigation and discovery work.
• Experience with defense catastrophic injury cases is highly preferred.
• Excellent written communication and oral advocacy skills.
• Admission to practice law in California is required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in California.

Skills:

• Proficient in motion practice and brief writing.
• Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and case management.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to prepare and handle depositions effectively.
