Legal Secretary The candidate will perform a wide variety of administrative tasks. Will arrange for the delivery of legal paperwork. Type correspondence and legal paperwork. Transcribe court proceedings and other recorded meetings. Schedule, coordinate and confirm court dates, appointments, and meetings. Conduct research in legal matters. Maintain calendars and schedules for a number of attorneys. Develop and maintain a comprehensive and organized billing system. Ensure all billable hours are accurately recorded. Understand the basics of a number of court documents, such as summons and subpoenas make travel arrangements. Arrange for the filing of court documents. Compose routine correspondence. Maintain filing system. Respond to phone calls and emails in a professional manner. Develop and maintain smooth working relationships with staff, attorneys and clients. Ensure that all documents have been proofread, edited and revised as necessary. Must have 5+ years of legal secretary experience. Proven advanced knowledge of Windows 10 and Office 365 to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required. Should have advanced skills in scheming, styles, delta view, and blacklining. Must have excellent proofing and editing skills as well as the ability to function independently and good follow through.
