Job Overview: A well-established law firm is seeking a Real Estate Finance Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join its team in Chicago. The role involves representing lenders and investors in various real estate finance transactions, including permanent, construction, and mezzanine loans. The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate finance, acquisitions, dispositions, and commercial leasing, and will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Location:

• Chicago, IL

Duties:

• Represent lenders and investors in permanent, construction, and mezzanine loan transactions
• Handle transactions involving various property types, including healthcare, auto, commercial, office, multifamily, retail, and industrial properties
• Manage acquisitions, dispositions, and negotiations of commercial leases (office, retail, warehouse, and industrial)
• Collaborate with shareholders and participate in business development activities
• Provide excellent client service in all aspects of real estate finance transactions

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience in real estate finance, representing lenders and investors
• Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, and negotiating commercial leases
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, challenging environment
• Strong academic credentials and a . degree (or equivalent)
• Admission to the Illinois Bar (or taking steps to become admitted) and in good standing

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Illinois Bar (or in the process of admission)

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of real estate finance transactions
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to handle complex transactions efficiently
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
