Legal Assistant (Document Services) RESPONSIBILITIES: Prompt response to client internal requests from paralegals and attorneys for service and assistance is required. Maintain strict confidentiality of client and borrower information and firm processes. Required to retrieve original documents in another office suite even during times of precipitation. Retrieving and responding to a variety of clients and internal firm requests via phone or email. Ensuring timely, courteous, and thorough responses to a heavy volume of email correspondence. Consistently and accurately updating the firm’s internal case management system, as well as all clients systems. Providing exceptional customer service to clients at every level of interaction. Providing support to attorneys and Paralegals in a high volume, time sensitive atmosphere. Providing regular and timely client status updates, as well as continual follow-up on outstanding documents and or services. Performing other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Paralegal certificate and/or 2-3 years’ equivalent work experience, preferably in the legal field. Experience with client systems such as LPS, Lenstar, Tempo, Vendorscape and others is preferred. Must be able to multi-task and work in various client and internal case management systems. Ability to proficiently operate computer, fax machine, scanner, photocopier and telephone is required. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be committed to providing exceptional customer service. Must have exceptional organizational skills; the position requires the ability to multi-task and be adaptable to continual change. Attention to detail is a must. High-level proficiency in MS Office suite. Proficiency in internet research activities. Good understanding of the legal process surrounding foreclosure preferred. Ability to effectively communicate with clients answering questions pertain to the CT foreclosure process. Working knowledge of legal documents and terminology.

Get new management and discourage backstabbing. Close your doors and find a new niche. People were should not be treated as dirt

Pros : None there were no good experiences there. They people were very rude. Quick to criticize but never an apology when they are wrong
Cons : It was a horrible place to work. Very unprofessional with management screaming profanities at staff members. No appreciation for anything done there. I would not recommend the experience
