Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have thorough knowledge and experience with ERISA disclosure and reporting requirements; In depth knowledge and experience with correlating federal laws governing employee benefit plans, including HIPAA (privacy and wellness), COBRA, ACA, and FMLA; Highly organized, recognizes importance of deadlines; Handles pressure well and gives attention to detail and accuracy; Analytical skills relating to practical application of legal aspects of employee benefit plans; Strong verbal and written communication skills; and relevant computer software knowledge and experienced, i.e., Word document and Excel spreadsheet capabilities. Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies (Bachelor’s degree is preferred). Primary legal work experience of 10 years in the field of employee benefits, i.e. ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA (not inclusive). Commensurate experience with a Paralegal Certificate will be considered.
