Associate Franchise Paralegal The candidate cordinates with franchisees on completion of legal documents. This position drafts franchise documents and closing binders for review by a more senior Franchise Paralegal or Real Estate Attorney. The Associate Franchise Paralegal also serves as the Administrator of updating the database (AMT) as required for all Franchise and License operations including Company owned and operated non-traditional stores, and generating data and reports. This position performs special projects as requested by the Licensing team and provides administrative/project support to the License and Non-Traditional team. Coordinates with franchisees on completion of license and legal documents. Prepares franchise documents and closing binders for review by a more senior Franchise Paralegal or Real Estate Attorney. Draft Letters of Notice to Exercise Option letters to Franchisees regarding renewals. Assists in maintaining the franchise database (AMT). Serves as the License Administrator of the Real Estate Legal project database (AMT), updating the database as required. Generates data and reports for the licensing team as requested and helps maximize efficiency and access to needed lease, subcontract, non-traditional contracts and license information. Assists with legal research and special projects in support of Licensing Team (Franchise). Performs basic paralegal work under the supervision of a Real Estate Attorney, including preparation of license and real estate contracts, letters, and certificates of insurance, execution copies of license agreements, and other legal documents. Secures necessary signatures on all leases, subcontracts, non-traditional contracts, license and legal documents. Provides administrative and project support to the Real Estate Legal department. Coordinates Real Estate Legal team meetings and performs other administrative support as required. Organize and manage the calendar of the VP, Real Estate Legal. Currently has a paralegal certification or preparing for paralegal certification required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Must have 1-2 years of work experience.
