Graduate Legal Intern, Office of General Counsel Duties: Assist CPAG staff with criminal securities matters currently in the investigative, pre-trial, or trial stages in various Federal and State jurisdictions; assist with document and trade data analysis; review databases. Perform legal research and writing using Lexis, Bloomberg, rules, federal securities laws, and SEC filings. Assist in preparing court exhibits. Help staff prepare for conference calls and/or meetings with agents and prosecutors; attend meetings.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Candidates preferably will be in or have completed their second year of law school, with an emphasis on securities law courses. Previous experience in the securities industry is preferred. Must be able to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately. Must function effectively in a team environment and work with others to meet deadlines. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and professional demeanor. Effective communication, time management, and organizational skills. Must demonstrate discretion and sound judgment, due to the confidential nature of the work.
