Legal Assistant Duties: Answer phones and process calls accordingly. Update clients on status of cases. Communicate with and prepare mailings to clients, health care providers and referring attorneys. Assist with entering new cases into the firm’s litigation management program (TrialWorks). Order client medical records. Review and summarize medical and pharmacy records. Miscellaneous projects including scanning, copying, faxing, and internet searches.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Ability to communicate professionally and pleasantly with clients, attorneys and staff orally as well as in writing. Strong computer skills including familiarity with MS Windows operating system, internet searches, working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and proficiency working with Adobe Pro is essential. Familiarity with medical records review and some medical or science background preferred. Data entry experience preferred. Self-starter with ability to multi-task and with good organizational skills. Keenness for attention to detail, resourcefulness, and critical thinking. Friendly, flexible and patient personality.
