Director of Litigation/Legal Services Duties: Reporting to the Executive Director and serving as a member of the programâ€™s Leadership Team. Will direct her or his own case load while also supervising the work of the other attorneys, advocates and administrative staff in both the Oklahoma City and offices. May work out of City. Providing representation in civil legal matters, involves a rare opportunity to spearhead exciting strategic advocacy, including principled litigation aimed at large-scale change to benefit people with disabilities in the state of Oklahoma and to oversee the design and implementation of a strategic plan for outreach to underserved areas and populations.
Qualification and Experience
Requirement: Licensed to practice law in Oklahoma or eligible for immediate admission to the Oklahoma Bar by reciprocity; 5-10 years legal experience, including extensive state and or federal litigation experience; zealous commitment to use the legal system to enforce the rights of people with disabilities is essential; excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to think and plan strategically and to demonstrate and promote a positive work ethic and work environment; proven management and leadership skills, excellent skills in mentoring and training; the ability to develop and implement projects; and a readiness to have a flexible work schedule.
