People Advisory Services - Mobility (Expatriate) - Tax Senior The candidate will be engaged in complex compliance and advisory work; working with colleagues all over the globe, preparing tax returns, reviewing/signing off, writing correspondence, providing authoritative advice/guidance, and review tax cost estimates. Directly engaging our clients is vital, be ready to question and negotiate to provide results. Successful delivery of Mobility (Expatriate) Tax projects: technical excellence and practical/business driven approach to solving complex client challenges; Provide quality US tax returns and overseas tax filings; preparing/reviewing calculations (international tax cost projections, equalization and hypothetical tax); Generate revenue through identifying follow-on engagement opportunities and developing lasting relationships with clients; identify potential risks and opportunities to improve processes and acquire new business; contribute to business development and client pursuit activities; Lead workstreams from planning to implementation â€“ managing resources and budgets effectively; Develop understanding of expatriate tax issues, trends and tools, and maintaining your reputation as an authoritative professional; Managing, coaching, and developing junior resources and peers, focusing on their technical and client service skills to develop their career.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a bachelorâ€™s degree in related field; MST, MAcc or JD/LLM preferred. Should have 3-5 yearsâ€™ relevant experience in expatriate tax: Big 4, global management consultancy firm, niche consultancy or in-house role with exposure to large-scale projects. US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or active state bar membership or progress toward certification. An understanding of automated tax-processing systems, as well as tax laws. Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to confidently influence colleagues and clients. Analytical approach to tax; ability to convert complex data into meaningful strategic insights. Ideally, also have exposure to US and international clients.
