Administrative Assistant The candidate will assist with the preparation of client correspondence and documents i.e. proofreading, editing and formatting. Performs general administrative tasks including filing, calendar management, providing phone coverage, sorting and distributing mail and time sheet entry. Responsible for drafting engagement letters, creating new matter intake forms and preparing check requests. Attends monthly Employee Benefits meetings while incorporating updates from attorneys. Maintains attorney CLE information and client contact lists. Assists in group task list maintenance and data room support. Assists in printing documents for M&A deals.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have 2 to 3 years administrative experience, prior experience in a law firm preferred. A.A.S. in Administrative Studies or Office Technology preferred; Ability to work effectively with a variety of clients and staff; proven ability to provide exceptional client service. Strong organizational skills; ability to respond to multiple priorities; plan work to meet varying deadlines. Attention to detail; ability to proofread and check typed material for grammatical, typographical, spelling, word usage and format errors. Proven proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
