Location:

Duties:

  • Handle real estate litigation matters, including eviction, landlord-tenant, and lender defense cases from start to finish.
  • Represent secured creditors, investors, and property owners.
  • Navigate litigation processes in alignment with California Civil Procedures.
  • Optional: Address federal and state laws governing evictions, lender foreclosures, and local regulations (., CA HOBR, Non-judicial foreclosures under Civ. Code § 2924 et. seq., evictions under CCP § 1161).
  • Attend trials and other legal proceedings.
  • Engage in client communication and provide strategic legal advice.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation, landlord-tenant law, or lender defense litigation.
  • Proven trial experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of California Civil Procedures.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • A small book of business is a plus but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar license in California.

Skills:

  • Expertise in real estate litigation processes and case management.
  • Ability to interpret and apply California state and federal laws related to real estate and lending.
  • Strong courtroom advocacy and client representation skills.
  • Excellent organizational, research, and communication abilities.
