Team Lead - Legal Assistants Duties: Assist with developing and implementing new processes and procedures. Create reports to improve workflow and catch errors. Help manage team case flow and priorities. Review emails sent to the team distribution lists to ensure they are answered and worked correctly. Co-partnering with the Team Supervisor on leading the team, including hiring, training and backup coordination and performance management. Manage any escalating issues. Review, approve and send check requests to Accounting. Analyze and Manage reports to ensure cases are being worked and achieve production goals. Send sub-servicer billing information to accounting for invoicing.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Prefer a 4-year degree in Pre-Law, Business, Communication, or related focus. Paralegal certificate can substitute for 4 year degree. 5+ years’ experience in a fast paced law firm environment, preferably working with production of complaints, defaults, judgments, or post-judgment actions, with demonstrated ability to anticipate next steps, take initiative, exercise discretion, and apply sound judgment. 2+ years of Senior or Lead experience. Must have experience in researching court information and court needs, and working with document merge issues. Must be flexible, self-motivated, extremely organized and able to work independently. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Advanced proficiency with a variety of computer software applications including MS Office. Advanced skills in Excel a definite plus. Working knowledge of the FDCPA. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possess a proactive and positive attitude. Ability to lead teams, keep others motivated and on track. Ability to prioritize, delegate and strategize. Willing to jump in and assist teams with lower level projects.
