Contract Manager, Senior Advisor [HYBRID] The candidate provides leadership, oversight, and expertise to manage large, multi-year energy efficiency contracts. Communicates with EE contract counter parties as their primary SCE contact. Facilitates and directs multi-functional teams to develop, operationalize, and continuously improve tools and processes necessary for effective contract administration. Consults with internal subject matter experts in Engineering Services, Law, Risk, Regulatory, Customer Tracking, and Supply Management to respond to requests, handle, and resolve contract issues and disputes. Communicates and collaborates with CP&S management and key partner organizations. Leads evaluation of requests and term sheet negotiations for amendments to contracts. Collaborates with CP&S Portfolio Development & Solicitation team to review new program proposals and to provide input in the development of new EE contracts and actively participates in EE solicitations contract negotiations. Develops and presents materials and analysis to senior leadership and influences senior management decision-making. Drives continuous improvement to improve processes and to ensure critical goals are met. Reports on energy efficiency savings performance and forecasts and program budget performance and forecasts to Energy Analysis and Reporting and EE Portfolio Management teams. Reports on all contract revisions and status to CPUC via Energy Resource Recovery Account (ERRA) and Advice Letters, as appropriate. Provides technical expertise and leadership to support EE Advisor teammates. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualification and ExperienceThe candidate should have 10+ years of combined experience in any of the following: contract origination, contract management, program management, project management, business operations, project consulting, or similar skillset. Must have 5 years of experience managing large contracts, contract negotiations, drafting and editing contract revisions, or resolving contract disputes. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Law degree or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Science, Engineering, or Economics. Strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively handle stress and engage in continuous learning. Must have proficient experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with energy efficiency programs and policies. Experience with preferred resources or conventional power contract origination or contract management. Experience with financial analysis. Experience presenting to and influencing senior management. Experience in providing exceptional service to internal and external customers and stakeholders.
