Job Overview: A law firm in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a Mid-Level Nonprofit and Association Associate Attorney with 4+ years of experience in a law firm environment. The ideal candidate will have legal experience representing tax-exempt organizations and additional expertise in contracts, governance, corporate structures, component/affiliate relations, licensing, membership programs, and lobbying.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and representation to tax-exempt organizations and associations.
• Draft and review contracts, governance documents, and corporate structures for nonprofit clients.
• Advise on component/affiliate relations and licensing matters.
• Assist in the development and management of membership programs.
• Guide lobbying activities and compliance with relevant regulations.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience practicing law in a law firm environment.
• Strong background in legal matters related to tax-exempt organizations and associations.
• Admission to the Maryland Bar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Maryland Bar.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with nonprofit law and tax-exempt organizations.
• Familiarity with contracts, governance, and corporate law.
• Knowledge of lobbying regulations and compliance.
