Duties:

  • Represent clients in high-value personal injury cases, including those with significant insurance coverage ($1M+).
  • Manage and develop cases from initial intake through trial, following firm procedures.
  • Collaborate with support staff and utilize resources to build strong cases.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and participate in trials, presenting compelling arguments and evidence.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance companies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to update them on case status and provide counsel as needed.
  • Develop case strategies that are consistent with firm goals and client interests.
  • Participate in company events and initiatives, contributing to the firm's positive culture.
  • Maintain high ethical standards and adhere to all legal requirements in handling cases.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in personal injury trial law, with a focus on plaintiff cases.
  • A successful track record of handling high-value personal injury cases.
  • Ability to manage complex cases and effectively lead them through litigation.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to reach favorable settlements when necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.

Certifications:

  • Texas State Bar membership in good standing.

Skills:

  • Expertise in personal injury law, including trial experience.
  • Advanced legal research and analysis skills.
  • Strong litigation and courtroom skills.
  • Negotiation and settlement experience.
  • Excellent client service and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in legal case management software and technology tools.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
