Duties:
- Represent clients in high-value personal injury cases, including those with significant insurance coverage ($1M+).
- Manage and develop cases from initial intake through trial, following firm procedures.
- Collaborate with support staff and utilize resources to build strong cases.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Prepare for and participate in trials, presenting compelling arguments and evidence.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance companies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to update them on case status and provide counsel as needed.
- Develop case strategies that are consistent with firm goals and client interests.
- Participate in company events and initiatives, contributing to the firm's positive culture.
- Maintain high ethical standards and adhere to all legal requirements in handling cases.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in personal injury trial law, with a focus on plaintiff cases.
- A successful track record of handling high-value personal injury cases.
- Ability to manage complex cases and effectively lead them through litigation.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to reach favorable settlements when necessary.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Texas.
Certifications:
- Texas State Bar membership in good standing.
