Attorney III The candidate provides legal advice and services with an emphasis on state law complying with administrative law and Public Record Act requests. Will review electronic documents to determine their responsiveness, develop efficient and effective responses to document requests, and provide opinions and recommendations based on document review to Department of Water Resources (DWR) staff and management and the California Natural Resources Agency, and coordinate DWR’s response to litigation in which records requests or records management are primary issues. Must have active membership in the California State Bar and is covered in the Political Reform Act, requiring financial disclosure within 30 days of the first and last day physically worked in a covered position and annually by April 1st. Should have knowledge of the Public Records Act, litigation experience and knowledge of environmental, contract and administrative law. Final Filing Date: 23 April 2018.
