Associate Contracts Payment Specialist Santa Rosa, California, United States Sales & Marketing Support 18000FPX Requisition # 7 hours ago Post Date ASSOCIATE CONTRACT PAYMENT SPECIALIST Careers That Change Lives A Day In the Life This role serves as a member of the Aortic, Peripheral & Venous Medical Affairs & Education (MA&E) Operations group and supports payment related matters for various functions across the organization. Work may include the following: managing invoices, tracking compensation, creating and tracking payments, supporting accrual activity, supporting contracts team, grants and donation administrative support, and supporting other activities within the broader MA&E and APV organizations. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Uses critical thinking skills to review contract against payments. Secures additional input from legal, manager, clinical team, contract specialist and/or data management as needed before making payment or responding to a payment question. Effectively manages multiple payment priorities in a timely manner to meet the external and internal customers' needs and proactively provides status updates on payments and payment questions. Supports accrual activity Provides payment support for grants and donations as well as fellowship requests and field based giving requests Serve as backup for Contracts Manager within MA&E operations and broader APV team Supports ongoing process improvement projects as assigned and seeks regular input from manager regarding project direction. Must Have; Minimum Requirements Bachelors degree 2 years finance/accounting/coding/payment or related experience with Bachelors or No Experience with Advanced Degree (e.g. JD, Masters) Experience with Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Document management experience Nice To have 2 + years of processing payments or equivalent activity Ability to learn specifics of the medical or technical area that relate to Business Unit’s therapies Proficient knowledge in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications (e.g. MS Word and Excel) Attention to detail and accuracy Compliance mindset Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks Effectively work independently and in a team setting Can work without established guidelines Strong written and verbal communication skills Works independently Manages complex relationships within the matrix Represents organization as primary contact on specific projects About Medtronic Together, we can change healthcare worldwide.
